In Discovering Realm, the first book of the Realm series, siblings Emma, Matt and Libby along with their new friends Sam and Will, stumble across the secret passage to the world of Realm.

Each full moon the secret doorway to Realm is open to them for a short time. The children soon discover a world of magic and make-believe, and meet some very special friends with amazing powers. It’s a place filled with adventure and fun but it’s also a place where the children learn to overcome their own personal fears and weaknesses. Through their adventures together they find their courage, their own voice and the spirit of true friendship.

But they quickly find out that Realm can also be a very dangerous place… The Dark, the evil and relentless conqueror, will stop at nothing to find the doorway to Earth and if he succeeds the world will be plunged into darkness forever.

Mother Nature, the kind and gentle ruler of Realm has the power to fend off The Dark but when she falls mysteriously ill, and their Dreamfriends are nowhere to be found, the children set out on a seemingly impossible journey to rescue their friends and hopefully save both Realm and Earth from the clutches of The Dark. Can a group of children alone actually defeat such powerful forces or will they be too late?

The Author

As one of seven children, Frances Bennett loved creating adventure stories to entertain her younger siblings. She also found this creativity and sense of fun useful in her role as a registered nurse. Now with children of her own, she has recreated her love of story-telling for them.

Frances lives in Brisbane, Australia with her husband and two young children. Discovering Realm is her first novel.
